Festive Friday Hop
Welcome to another exciting Festive Friday Hop. Make sure you start over at Terri's blog http:// www.terrisproul.blogspot.co m/
For this week's card I wanted to use duck tape - I have an addiction to crafting with duck tape and I used the candy cane tape along with the gold tape. I used Tim's green moss distress ink stamp to make the tree, and Staz-On black stamp to do the trunk of the tree. I strung green and red seed beads on green and gold Beadalon wires and taped down the edges with the gold duck tape. I used mod podge in glitter to the entire white area around the stamped tree - I loved the fact that the ink from the distress ink stamp bled a little - it gave the white paper a little bit of green tint with a sparkle from the mod podge. I used regular mod podge to add some white sequins and in the center I added a tiny red seed bead. The clear sequin picks up the green color from the stamp and the colors from the glitter. To finish it up I used a crystal gold pearl as a star and strung some gold beads on red wire that was wrapped around the card over the gold duck tape.
Here is a close up of the tree |
I just wanted to make a different card - I have the paper and stamps and other paper crafting products I could have used - but I just wanted to do something totally different. I love when you move the card around, the beads strung on the wires move around -
