Spring Flowers on a Bottle!

Image
Hi there, Spring is here, even if it's still cold you can already see a few pretty flowers here and there.   I had this cute glass bottle, perfectly round so I decided to decorate it with flowers.  Below you can see how I transformed a recycled glass bottle into a pretty decorative piece. Lets start with the first product I used.  It's  Dip-n-etch liquid  from  Etchall.   I will share a little bit of information about this great product, but if you click on the link above you can get all the information needed about this and all their other products. Etchall® dip ‘n etch is a re-usable etching liquid with the consistency of water. Use by "dipping" glass objects to create an etched surface of the are submerged in this etching liquid.  You can etch the entire object or you can mask areas or designs by using  etchmask   stencils and  etchall® resist gel  to create beautiful designs. Inspirational Message to my Kids!!

Image
Hi there, I love creating just about anything, specially if I can make them one of a kind projects to share and hopefully to inspire.   This past weekend I went shopping for art supplies for my youngest who is a freshman at an art academy in Chicago and as I walked around the craft store I found some stencils, these were inspirational words, and I thought to myself, why not get these, they might come in handy, so I got them. Well as I was doing some light cleaning around the house over the weekend, I noticed a frame I had purchased at one of the many garage sales I went to last summer, it was a simple wood frame, light brown with a floral mat insert and sure enough the photo area was a perfect fit for the stencils I had just purchased at the craft store, needless to stay the cleaning came to a complete stop and it was time to get creative. I chose three words that I felt would be a perfect inspiration. Etching these words on the glass was the next step, and then ...

Don't Be A Grinch!!!Have A Very Merry Christmas!

Image
I made a couple of small painting of the Grinch holding a holiday ornament, I've seen this image on the Internet and decided to paint it.  I had a small mirror and decided to go ahead and paint the same image on it but I didn't want it to be shiny, I wanted a frosted look. This is the size of the mirror I used for this project I had a sheet of tiny star stickers so I removed a few stars and took the sheet and placed it over one corner of the mirror, I wanted the stars to be frosted too but I wanted a bit of the shiny mirror to remain.  The photo below shows the film I placed on a corner, I started to add the etching cream carefully making sure not to get any under the film, I wanted that area to remain shiny.  Next I took the etching cream from Etchall to cover the entire mirror and used the etchall squeegee to spread out the cream, this tiny tool is the best way to apply the cream.  I left the etching cream on the mirror for 15 minutes as directed, after ...

From Recycled to - Welcome Fall!

Image
Happy Monday! to all.  Today I want to share a fun recycled project that can be used for any season.  I love to include recycled materials as much as possible in my crafty projects, today I use an empty Starbucks coffee glass container, I love drinking these a lot, so I do have many on hand and many that have been recycled already. Today's project is very simple,  pretty and easy to change it's look.  The main crafting products I'm using today are from Etchall,  I love how easy their products are and not only that but you get to recycle their etching creams and now you get to use their new stencils over and over again, yes they have some new fun stencils that are re-usable, these are called  ETCHNET™ Re-usable Stencils  they currently have two Halloween sets on sale, so I suggest you go check them out.    I loved the idea of been able to use these stencils over and over again, they are not sticky, there's no glue on them, they a...
