The weather around us here in Indiana has been a bit crazy lately.  With Spring finally here we expected to get a bit of warm weather and along with the showers we were hoping to see pretty flowers blooming and the grass getting green and but instead it's been pretty cold, with snow coming down on April.  However we can't wait to see lots of pretty flowers everywhere soon and enjoy the outdoors a bit more. I received  a pretty etchall® lighten-up Kit  that includes; one self-illuminating lampshade, one plastic sleeve, one template and instruction guide, it does require 3 AA batteries (not included).   I needed a base for this pretty lamp shade so I went looking in my box of glass containers and in the recycling bin, and well it turned out that my bottle was in the refrigerator, I had this energy drink I got from Vegan Cuts, that was the perfect size for this project. Hi there, I've had several glass blocks at home and had wondered how to decorate them for the holidays, finally I decorated one for my office.  I decided to paint some poinsettias and add the word Noel. It was a very simple and easy project and looked so pretty right along my other etched items I made for my office. You can add lights or battery type candles inside the glass block .  I just wrapped a pretty red wired ribbon and some gold ornaments to the top of the block and it was ready for display. Hi there, today I want to share a special project I made at my daughter's request.   She asked me to make her two key chains using two pennies, to keep it simple and focus on the pennies.   Her anniversary was coming up and wanted to give her boyfriend something special.  We've had so many conversations about relationships over the years and I've mentioned how lucky she was to have met the love of her life as a kid and to have found each other once again as teens.  So the lucky penny came into mind for this project.  We searched and found two pennies with the year 2011, so to make them special I used tools from ImpressArt to add their initials and a heart around the year. A very simple project and a first for me, I've never worked with metal, stamped or hole punch on pennies, so this was a learning experience, and I have to say I'm hooked on metal stamping and look forwards to making lots of projects and sharing  them with you. ...
