Festive Friday Hop!!!

Image
Welcome to another great Festive Friday Hop - make sure you started at the beginning by stopping by Terri's blog - http://www.terrisproul.blogspot.com/ .  Now I know is summer, but you need to get started early if you want to make Christmas cards to give away, you don't want to have to go and purchase a box of cards - I love giving out cards that I make to my family and friends, come and see what everyone has done this week. I'm not really able to walk around much right now - having problems with a bad knee and my craft room is upstairs so I have a small space in my living room where I get to craft a bit.  I just got my first cricut and got this new cartridge - so I was playing around, I have never used any machine like this one so it was fun.  Well I decided to use one of the flower napkin rings to make my card. This is my festive card!!! Here are some of the materials I used (sorry forgot to include Tim's  green ink p...

Macrame jewelry

Black beauty - this is my favorite - love the twist and how these crystal beads sparkle -   I decided to go back and do some simple macrame jewelry - I did this type of beading quite a few years back and decided to get back to it again.   I've done some for my daughter using hemp cords in different colors.   I like to play with how the beads get placed.  Here are pictures of some of the bracelets I've done in the last two weeks.  Last night I decided to make one with an imitation leather cord from Darice and another with silk cord and gold wire from Beadalon, for this two I used swarovski crystals and crystal beads, these are my favorite and are for me.  Feel free to drop a comment. I decided to use the silk cord as the base and use one of Beadalon's gold wire to wrap the swarovski crystals around the silk cord, these and the bracelet on top are mine to enjoy!!! this bracelet can be wrapped around more than once on the wrist ...

Blue Jeans Ring!!!

I love making jewelry, I love creating with different products, I guess I have a creative addiction for which there is no cure! I love to wear jewelry and even more when I know is something I made, because I know I will not run into anyone, anywhere wearing the same thing I have.  I discovered duct tape for crafting over a year ago, ever since I have been using it for many things. From wallets to flowers, to using it to make a holiday card instead of using paper, also to make rings, bracelets, necklaces, and earrings.  Today I want to share the latest ring I've created - I love how this ring looks on!!!  The smaller the flower the harder it  is to make, but I enjoy the challenge, specially when  it comes out the way I want it. I used Mod Podge Dimensional Magic to adhere the ring to the ring base -  testing to see how good it holds - but might end up using hot glue just to make sure it stays on ( I already know the hot glue works great) Now he...

Festive Friday Hop

Welcome to another exciting Festive Friday Hop. Make sure you start over at  Terri's blog    http:// www.terrisproul.blogspot.co m/ For this week's card I wanted to use duck tape - I have an addiction to crafting with duck tape and I used the candy cane tape along with the gold tape.   I used  Tim's green moss distress ink stamp to make the tree, and Staz-On black stamp to do the trunk of the tree.  I strung green and red seed beads on green and gold Beadalon wires and taped down the edges with the gold duck tape.  I used mod podge in glitter to the entire white area around the stamped tree - I loved the fact that the ink from the distress ink stamp bled a little - it gave the white paper a little bit of green tint with a sparkle from the mod podge.  I used regular mod podge to add some white sequins and in the center I added a tiny red seed bead.  The clear sequin picks up the green color from the stamp and the colors from the glitter...
