I had no idea what or how to alter these spoons, all I knew is that I wanted to use Viva Decor paints and wanted to make my project part recycled, and it had to be flowers, so this is what I came up with.  I worked on two spoons and I love flowers so I decided to try and make them out of the plastic cups you get from Wendy's and Panera, and that is what I used here. Westcott's scissors were used to cut the plastic cups - love this scissors, they seriously cut everything!!! I also used some duck tape and some white lace along with a couple of pipe cleaners, some Adtech high temp glue.

This spoon has two butterflies and two flowers I made using a Panera plastic cup, these were hand painted with Viva Decor paints in purple, rose and red, also use their paint pen in white and one of their glitter liners to add color on the edges of the petals, I took some white lace and painted it in purple and pink and glued at the bottom of the pink flower and on the side of the purple flower, the gold like ribbons are actually made from the rim of the plastic cup and colored with Viva Decor's gold paint pen. The entire spoon was first painted all in green (Plaids), then I used extreme glitter paint over the entire spoon, I do love anything that sparkles.

This spoon has small wood forks glued on the back of the spoon all in a circle painted  with Viva Decor metallic purple paint and added a white pearl on the tips then I made another flower using the Wendy's plastic cup, colored again with the viva decor paints and finally took some white duck tape, made some pleats and glued under the plastic flower, I took some white viva decor paint and painted the duck tape.  The top part of the spoon was painted in purple just like the tiny wood forks that go around the flower, the handle was painted with Plaids green paint and extreme glitter to add more sparkle.

Close up of the plastic cup flower! Here you can see how I painted the duck tape too.

Both of these spoons will have a hanger on back so they can go on the wall as decorations.  Well I hope you like my altered spoons, this is my first time making something with spoons, and my first time making flowers from a recycled plastic cup!  Thanks for stopping by.
